Civil Engineering Teaching Test Equipment

According to the characteristics of teaching test for the undergraduate student of civil engineering, Popwil has developed a series of teaching test equipment which adopts the latest computer-electro-hydraulic servo control, computer data acquisition and processing technologies. These machines have been equipped by more than 60 university and college customers including Tongji University, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Northeast University, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Wenzhou University, Changzhou Institute of Technology, etc.
Popwil civil engineering teaching test system is divided into three series: loading test system, innovation test system and servo-motor-driven seismic table.

1. Loading Test System for Civil Engineering Undergraduate Teaching

It is mainly used in demonstration test of civil engineering undergraduate teaching. It can also be used as the loading system in a scientific research test. According to the foundation type of the lab, this equipment can adopt screw cross-beam structure with adjustable testing space or rectangle self reaction frame with a fixed testing space.

Main Specifications:

  • The lead screw is fixed on the reaction foundation. The testing space can be changed by adjusting the position of the crossbeam. The maximum testing space is 2 meters high and the space between two screws is 2 meters.
  • The electro-hydraulic servo quasi-static actuator is used to doing loading, and 50t or 20t actuator can be alternated according to the needs.
  • Movable hydraulic power station with air cooling system is used to drive the loading system. It can work continuously for a long time with flow rate of 3L / min and pressure of 25MPa.
  • The POP-PI single channel controller is used as the control center. It takes IPC as the core and the software works under windows, and can perform closed-loop control of the test force and displacement.
  • With distribution beam, bending support and relevant accessories, bending test of beam and compression test of column can be completed.
  • According to the needs of users, DH3816 data acquisition instrument can be equipped to realize the automatic acquisition of strain gauge data.

If there is no reaction foundation in the lab, the loading test system with self-reaction frame can be chosen for civil engineering undergraduate teaching. The follow picture shows these machines with fixed testing space were doing teaching tests.

2. Innovation Testing System for Civil Engineering Undergraduate Teaching

This system is specially used for the innovative test of structural engineering undergraduate teaching. It is a frame composed of a steel structure reaction wall and loading frame with steel structure base plate, a 10 ton vertical loading actuator, two 5 ton quasi static loading actuators, a 20 L / min flow rate movable electro-hydraulic servo power station, a POP-M 3 channel controller and associated testing accessories. This equipment integrates the static and dynamic loading ability can meet the requirements of structural engineering undergraduate teaching test, independent innovation comprehensive design test.

Main Specifications:

  • By using of the self-balancing steel frame with appropriate test accessories, this machine can test the typical structural specimen such as column, beam, wall, plate, frame or joint for the mechanical properties through standard operation such as tension, compression, bending, shear or torsion.
  • It has the function of doing dynamic load simulation test on a bridge model.
  • Doesn’t need reaction wall or reaction foundation, this machine is equipped with a movable hydraulic power station with air cooling system, and can be placed and worked at any appropriate place in an ordinary laboratory.
  • Equipped with pop-m three-channel controller and windows application software, it can complete coordinated loading of three-channel electro-hydraulic servo closed-loop control and complete complex structural engineering innovation test.

3. Servo-motor-driven Seismic Table for Civil Engineering Undergraduate Teaching

The single degree of freedom servo-motor-driven seismic table is specially designed for cognitive test of the civil engineering undergraduate teaching. It can also be used to do seismic test for small structures. This machine adopts the computer-servo-motor close-loop control technology, and has an aluminum alloy table installed on the linear guide rail. It is equipped with damping pad and can be installed and used in ordinary laboratory without special foundation.
