Joint Design and Development

Based on the good reputation, rich experience in the field of material and structure testing equipment manufacturing, and the core technology of the electro-hydraulic servo control, Popwil is invited to take part in some advanced projects with leading-edge technology. This reflects the ability of Popwil in joint design and development.

In order to study the embankment subside and slope steady of the high-speed railway foundation, Chen Yunmin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Bian Xuecheng, Professor of the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering of Zhejiang University, plan to build a model of high-speed railway with foundation in a model slot in the laboratory, and using the computer controlled loading device to simulate the actual load. As the loading system builder, Popwil played an important role in this project. After 2 years of hard work, the construction was completed in 2010, and moved to the Civil Engineering Test Center of Zhejiang University in 2015. It has completed a series of scientific research tests and got a number of achievements, and named as the top 10 scientific and technological progress of Chinese universities in 2018.

The most important role of joint project design and development is that the equipment developed for the project can continuously upgrade according to the progress of the project.
After 3 years running, the high-speed railway foundation dynamic testing system moved to new place: The Civil Engineering Test Center of Zhejiang University. At the same time, the loading frame and the hydraulic power system was newly built as well as the integrated data acquisition system. The joint R&D mode made this innovation easy to handle with reasonable price. The innovated equipment moved to the new laboratory shows bellow.
The new design adds a measuring instrument mounting frame and operator access.

The joint design and development not only increased the communication between the supply and demand about the usage of the equipment, but also created opportunities for both sides to make use of the new technologies in the continuous improvement of the new equipment.
